It’s a New Year and a New Era. 2013 marks the true beginning of the soul evolution. Obviously the physical world did not come to an end, but what astrology tells us is that it does represent the start of a major transformation for us all. Where our focus and understanding shifts and we begin to truly appreciate our connectedness and how we as individuals are here to contribute our unique gifts to that whole. 

We start the New Year with the Sun in Capricorn as we do every January helping us to focus our intentions on what we want to accomplish this year. Loving Venus will join the Sun in Capricorn on January 8th adding an element of efficiency to our finances and income. The New Moon on January 11th will also be in Capricorn continuing to magnify our careers and public stature with greater responsibility. On January 19th, the Sun makes its way into eccentric Aquarius for the next thirty days or so. During this transit of the Sun in Aquarius, we may feel less motivated by emotions and actively searching for unexpected ideas that change our lives. Greater community involvement will definitely be highlighted during this period.  

Pleasure, fun and creativity will be the theme as the Full Moon in audacious Leo will be joined by unconventional Uranus and expensive Jupiter on January 26th .Our bright ideas are more likely to land on receptive ears during this lunation, attracting open minded individuals and intelligent people. Finally this month, Jupiter begins its forward motion once again on January 30th to help expand our experiences, our knowledge, and our understanding of the future. With this forward momentum of Jupiter in Gemini, we place strong emphasis once again on valuing the intellect. We see opportunities to grow and succeed through intellectual, verbal, and written channels. Communication and contacts are also valued during this transit to help solve problems.

My Thoughts on September 2012

Get ready for a more intense cerebral month as the Sun and Mercury are in the earthy sign of Virgo. We may begin the month on a skeptical note as Mercury will be in opposition to Neptune on September 1st. On the September 6th, Venus sashays into proud Leo highlighting romance and relationships throughout the month. The need for attention and approval tends to increase with this transit.

On September 15th, the New Moon in pragmatic Virgo is an excellent time for beginning new routines geared towards health, responsibility and developing new skills. Virgo is the signs that analyses information and breaks it down into little pieces so we can better understand how things work. This New Moon will help to analyze our lives to see how we can improve them. 

The second of seven world-shaking Uranus-Pluto squares occurs on September 19. This continues the process of transformation that began earlier in the year and won't finish until 2015. Mercury's connections with these outer planets on September 20 could trigger arguments or intellectual breakthroughs. The trick is to balance nervous energy and mistrust with a willingness to question our own assumptions. Brilliant new insights emerge when we let go of old ideas.The Sun's entry into Libra on September 22 marks the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. 

This is the partnership sign, where objectivity and social skills help to facilitate successful alliances both personally and professionally. The graciousness of Libra, though, may not be enough to maintain calm emotional seas on September 29. That's when the Sun crashes into a stressful square with provocative Pluto and an explosive opposition with revolutionary Uranus.  It's best to avoid rubbing others the wrong way unless you're willing to totally transform your relationships with them.

July 2012 Planetary Outlook

One step forward and one step back is the astrological theme for July. The warrior planet Mars finally leaves analytical Virgo, where we've been battling with details, criticism and minor matters for more than seven months. On July 3, Mars moves into Libra, an accommodating Air sign that doesn't quite match its aggressive nature, but at least facilitates some forward movement.

On the other hand, communicative Mercury turns retrograde on July 14, and it will backpedal in bold Leo until August 8. The thrice-annual reversal of the messenger planet usually complicates conversations, travel and technical matters. Slowing down to double-check data and complete old business helps to reduce errors and misunderstandings. However, creative ideas from the past could resurface in fresh forms during this period.

On July 3, the Full Moon in responsible Capricorn opposes the Sun in protective Cancer, putting security and safety issues on the front burner. Powerful Pluto's conjunction and provocative Uranus' tense square to the Moon intensify the situation. Panic and fear are possible reactions to the stress of managing our material lives. It's tempting to go to extremes as we imagine worst-case scenarios in our personal lives. The news is not likely to be cheery either. Yet this powerful event can provide the fuel to make radical changes that could provide solutions to individual and collective problems.

Mars in Libra activates boundless Jupiter and potent Pluto on July 17, and revolutionary Uranus on July 18. These connections can spark big plans that need to be put into practical forms to be of value. That's because a sobering look at reality comes with the Cancer New Moon on July 18, which forms a 90-degree square with serious Saturn. But even if we feel like we're up against an immovable obstacle, there is good news right around the corner. On July 21, expansive and optimistic Jupiter forms a favorable 60-degree sextile with innovative Uranus that can suddenly open our minds. Bright ideas, original thinking and fresh perspectives may not immediately eliminate our concerns, but the dark clouds of doubt may begin to recede in the light of unexpected opportunities. Thinking outside the box will reveal solutions in unexpected ways.

Thoughts for the Month of June 2012

My View of June 2012
The activity continues this month with a Full Moon partial Lunar Eclipse occurring in the sign of Sagittarius on June 4th. Neptune turns retrograde on the 4th. A New Moon occurs in late Gemini on June 19th. Uranus squares Pluto on the 24th. Jupiter squares Neptune on the 25th. Saturn turns direct on the 25th. Venus is retrograde in the sign of Gemini until June 27th, then it turns direct and finally a once in a life time Venus Eclipse.

As you see there is so much powerful activity going this month it may be difficult to keep our composure. Let’s start off with the partial lunar eclipse on the June 4th. The Moon will be in Sagittarius, opposing the Sun in Gemini. The eclipsed Moon and the Sun will be forming a square to Mars in Virgo. The effects of this lunar eclipse can span six months. In Sagittarius, this Lunar Eclipse is good for exploration and reaching out to those outside of your own little world. Unfortunately Mars and Venus will be at a tough alignment, so the reaching-out-to-others bit might result in some disagreements and hurt feelings, probably because we're not being open enough to other ways of living. Keep your mind and hearts open. Another area to keep an eye on is legal issues. If you're a Sagittarius Sun, Moon, or mid-Sagittarius rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most.

On June 6th there will be a very special day as the Sun conjunct Venus. Not just any old conjunction, this one is a rare transit of Venus, where Venus is seen as a black dot passing in front of the Sun. This is the last transit of Venus for over 100 years, Venus is retrograde, it comes just after the June 4th lunar eclipse. Sun conjunct Venus is the personification of love and beauty, love is definitely in the air today, more than at any other time. Meeting friends, spending time with lovers, and chatting up potential lovers are all favored on this day. Venus and Jupiter face off in December of this year as part of a Yod aspect (favorable pattern), apparently about the same time as the 5,125 year cycle in the Mayan Long Count calendar comes to an end… Should be an interesting ending to this year. Hi Friends!!
One month into the New Year and I'm sure many of you have been feeling the difference in your energy levels. Part of the shift is because Mars (aggression, drive, etc) has gone retrograde and will continue until April 14th. This month our consciousness shifts towards humanity and compassion as planets make their way into Pisces. Sensitivity increases this month with a  need to pay attention to our dreams and visions.

According to Gregg Braden, [best-selling author bridging science and spirituality] people around the world are sensing that we have entered a time that is unlike any other time in history. More often than not, people say that they feel like something has begun and has yet to complete, or they are waiting for the other shoe to drop. It will be bigger than 9/11 and the war in Iraq. People sense a low level tension indicating that something big is about to happen, and although we may not realize it consciously, we are in some way preparing for whatever that is...I believe it's a beautiful awakening on the inside of each of us.

We are living in a time of great change. We are seeing measurable parameters that are changing and appear to be converging. For example, the magnetic fields of the earth are shifting and the Sun is producing more and more Solar flares. I feel these events along with the astrological alignments are altering our DNA on some level. Lets continue to to awaken to the possiblites and realize we are all one in this world. Happy New Year Friends!!
This is the year we have all being waiting for. There is such an anticipation of what is to come or not to come, no doubt about it; it will be an eventful year astrologically.
